Angry challenge mission
i'm at 97% for title. i need to know do i really need the remains challenge mission toget 100%? i've tried so many times and to open the doors but i keep dying. i got one door opened once but died just as it open. can i still get the maxed title if i dont do the challenge mission?

Did you read the FAQ that begins this thread? That's what it's there for -- to tell you what you need to know. The answer is: yes, you really need to map this area. You can search this forum for tips on mapping it.

yes i did read it. i also know that you dont have to do facs challenge missions to get 100%. i was hoping i could just wall hug the last percentage for the title. and i yes i have been using the tips for the challenge but they dont help i still die before door opens or after it opens. and a simple yes you do their's no way around would have okay. you didnt have to be rude.

Just play the mission like regularly, and explore while killing the maddened dudes. Eventually all doors will open. When that happens just continuously move and use the speed boost when its ready. When the maddened spirits get too close, quickly rezone (if you are going for survivor) or just die. and then redo the process.

Thank you very much for the maps. I was at 99.8% and couldn't find the rest. Was shocked to see that I had quite a few bits more uncovered on my map until I saw that the map was done by an Elonian character! lol..that's 0.8% they didn't have to find elsewhere!

So happy! Legendary Cartographer!

Default Help with Cartography Elona
I'm attempting Cartography Title. I have texmod and there seems to be a problem for me. I can't get into exploring this certain area, the creator of the map for Elona has a lil-note saying how to explore it but it is impossible? Please someone enlighten me and tell me how I can explore that lil part. Thank you

Take one of these quests to travel to Elona and watch the cutscene:

From Tyria
Take the quest Sunspears in Kryta from Lionguard Figo in Lion's Arch.
From Cantha
Take the quest Sunspears in Cantha from Imperial Guardsman Linro in Kaineng Center.

I have this area mapped with a Canthan char, so it is possible. Guess you have to do it this way. If you have already done one of the quests, try if you can do the other and watch the cutscene.

Also note, it is not necessary to have everything mapped to get 100%, so you might be able to get away without the starter island mapped.

"This area can only be mapped during the new character tutorial".

You can only map that part if you create a Nightfall character and chose the tutorial option from Kormir instead of the much faster, skip tutorial option. It is not needed to reach 100% elona cartographer however so just go try to map other areas you have missed.

You definitely don't need the tutorial area to get Elonian Grandmaster Cartographer. It helps, of course, but isn't needed.

You can though, get to the mission outpost, you just won't get ass much cleared on the east and south.

For the record, wall scraping the outpost will help get some map uncovered, as will using something like Necrotic Traversal or Consume Corpse during the mission to get onto the boats.

This. I had just about every nook and cranny scraped, and nothing was left on my texmod, but I was still .1% off. Necrotic transversial onto the boat near the boss got me that last bit (that wasn't in texmod).

Textmod is a third party program you run that "mods" your guildwars. (Don't worry, it's perfectly alright with A-Net.) You install small mods and it colors your map differently so you can see where you've explored and where you haven't. Very effective. You can download Textmod (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/tr7/mod...oad/texmod.zip) and you can get the mods for the cartographer title (http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guide...I_enhancements).

thx.. yeah ive been working on protector titles atm on my monk.. 3 off guardian.. cant beleive no posts on vanquishing

99.9% on Elonian Cartography title, and I can't for the life of me find the last sliver I need... :/

First off do you have sunspear arena (that's what I missed) but its hard to tell from the map sorry....all I can recommend is texmod.
